Maintenance of vacuum circuit breaker

1.Maintenance cycle

The arc extinguishing chamber of the vacuum circuit breaker itself does not need maintenance.Vacuum circuit breakers can be put into operation as long as they are installed and adjusted as required,In-service maintenance is simple.During the operation of the vacuum circuit breaker, when the number of operations reaches one-fifth of the mechanical life, the power should be cut off for a comprehensive inspection and adjustment.For example, when the mechanical life and electrical life are nearing the end, the period of inspection and adjustment should be shortened appropriately.

2.Check the main content of the adjustment

The inspection and adjustment mainly include the following aspects:

(1)Tightening of the main circuit terminal connection part.

(2)Cleaning the operating mechanism and the housing of the arc extinguishing chamber.

(3)Add lubricating oil to moving parts and replace damaged and rusted parts.

(4)Inspection of contact wear.

(5)Vacuum degree inspection of vacuum interrupter.

(6)Adjustment of other parameters (mainly the inspection and adjustment of contact opening distance and compression stroke).

3. Identification and replacement of vacuum degree of arc extinguishing chamber

(1)Identification of the vacuum degree of the arc extinguishing chamber

The vacuum degree of the vacuum circuit breaker is directly related to the insulation performance and arc extinguishing performance of the circuit breaker,It is difficult to correctly judge the vacuum degree of the arc extinguishing chamber in actual work.The commonly used method is to use the power frequency withstand voltage method to qualitatively judge whether the vacuum degree is qualified or not.

(2) Replacement of arc extinguishing chamber

The job of replacing the arc chute is relatively simple,Generally, it can be carried out according to the procedures specified in the manufacturer's instruction manual.After the replacement,The assembly size of the equipment, the stroke, overtravel, and opening distance of the circuit breaker should be measured. If it is not qualified, it should be adjusted.Then carry out the power frequency withstand voltage test.
